Explosion Proof Housings and Brackets for Box Cameras

Explosion-proof camera housings are typically required in potentially explosive, hazardous areas.  The camera enclosures are engineered and manufactured with the priority of preventing ignition of the surrounding gasses or dust particles. To be considered explosion-proof, the equipment must meet the standards specified by entities such as ATEX, HazLoc or IECEx.

Explosion-proof video surveillance equipment is typically required in applications such as:

• manufacturing plants and factories
• oil and gas - tankers, refineries, terminals, drilling rigs, pipelines
• industrial plants - chemical, nuclear power, fertilizer, metal manufacturing, plastic manufacturing 
• rooms containing flammable gasses typically defined as Class 1, Division1 (C1D1) rooms
