When installing the 500216 Audio Zone Amplifier it may be desirable to manage this device via a handheld remote control unit, particularly if the Audio Zone Amplifier is positioned in a hard to reach location.

The 500216-IR is sold separately and comes with an IR sensor and a handheld remote control unit. The IR sensor connects directly to the Audio Zone Amplifier and allows the user to manage the Audio Zone Amplifier via the handheld remote control at a distance.
