Description
The Evax EVX-ZM is a supervised Zone Module. It is used in conjunction with the EVAX 25/50/100/150/200 to enable separately supervised and protected circuits from a single speaker output. The EVX-ZM is standardly configured for 4 Class B circuits, but may be converted to 2 Class A with the flip of a switch. The EVX-ZM may be ganged together to provide a maximum of 64 Class B circuits.
The EVX-ZM in standard operating mode is strictly All Call. On any Page, Alarm or Message function all circuits are active. If separate Zoning is required, an EVX-SL8 may be employed to provide both Zone and Message selection. Additionally, the EVX-ZM has inputs which may be activated by a N.O. Dry contact for Zone selection.
Each speaker circuit employs a smart power metering to insure short circuit conditions are isolated from the other circuits. Each circuit is rated 50W @ 70V and 40W @25V. If separate inputs are needed for Message selection, an EVX-IL8 can easily be configured for external contacts.
If there is a need for separate monitoring or triggers, an EVX-OL8 can provide N.O. Contacts or Voltage drives for external systems. The EVX-OL8 will provide output control that may be assigned to a switch, input or function like Alarm, Message or PTT.
The EVX-ZM, EVX-SL8, EVX-IL8 and the EVX-OL8 all tie together with a simple ribbon cable. Zone, Switch, Input and Output cards may be used in any combination with a maximum quantity of 16

The EVX-OL8 LED Output Module provides solid state N.O. dry contacts. It can also be separately tied to a voltage (0-24VDC), with that voltage used as a drive point or trigger. Outputs 1-4 and 5-8 may use different voltage references if desired. The EVX-OL8 outputs may be programmed to follow message activation, page zones, or specific functions like PTT, alarm, or control.
