FAQ

  1. Confirm that both the input and output devices are powered on.
  2. Ensure that the Ethernet cable does not exceed 328 ft (100 m), or 656 ft (200 m) for the NS-104UT-MAQ, NS-516UT-GAQ, and NS-524UT-GAQ with the VLAN switch turned ON.
  3. Verify that the connected PoE device does not require more than 30W of power.
  4. Confirm that the Ethernet cable meets the EIA/TIA-568A or EIA/TIA-568B standard and that both ends are terminated using the same standard (not a crossover cable).
  5. Test the Ethernet cable to ensure it is functioning properly.
  6. Test the switch with another PoE device that is known to be operating correctly.
