Kevlar is the same material used in many of the world's most expensive audiophile speakers. It's a big part of what makes the CC550 so special. Kevlar fiber can't stretch, so it makes our 3-inch midrange and 5¼-inch woofers highly resistant to distortion. Our stiff, light aluminum tweeter produces crystal-clear sound with the same dynamics as the Kevlar drivers.

The CC550's vertical midrange/tweeter array gives it the same broad horizontal dispersion you get from a good stereo speaker. That means you won't notice a change in sound as you move across the couch. Two-way center speakers can't achieve this. And with 40 Hz bass extension, 88 dB sensitivity and 8-ohm impedance, the CC550 works great with any receiver.
